Digital Gujarat is a state government supportive program offering monthly scholarships ranging from 10,000 INR to several lakhs to cover educational expenses such as tuition fees, hostel accommodation, and books to students belonging to underprivileged backgrounds such as SC, OBC, SEBC, and NT-DNT.

This amount means a lot for those whose careers fully rely on this aid. So after applying for a scholarship through the Digital Gujarat portal, it’s essential to track your application’s status to get the amount quickly. In case any objection is raised it could be solved within application time. Once you did not clarify yourself within the mentioned date you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.

Here is a step-by-step guide along with a YouTube video I found helpful to guide you in checking your Digital Gujarat scholarship status in a simple and easy way.

1. Visit the Digital Gujarat Scholarship Portal at www.digitalgujarat.gov.in and click on the Login button.

2. Click on School and Institution Login, and a new login box will appear.

3. Login using your Email ID, Aadhaar Card, or Phone Number. Enter the correct password, solve the captcha, and proceed by clicking on the Login button.

4. Verify your OTP through the verification process.

5. Once your OTP is confirmed, you’ll be taken to a new tab where you’ll need to select your financial year, 2024-25.

6. Navigate to the website menu, click on Student Register, and from the drop-down, select Edit Student Entry.

7. You’ll see an option for Edit Student Detail and Show Student Status. Enter your name in the search box, select your category or caste, and click on the Show Status button.

8. Now check the Account verification column if its green color with text Valid and verified account , it means your scholarship application has been verified and amount will be submitted soon in your given account detail.

 

Scholarship is approved when it passes through four different phases or stages. You can track each phase on your Digital Gujarat portal as well. Here are the stages of approval 

1. Received By Principal 
2. Pending at office level 
3. Approved by Authority
4. Query By Authority
5. Rejection of application 

Scholarship Received By Principal: What Does It Mean?

Sometimes “Received by Principal” status is shown on your portal. Many of us are happy that our scholarship money has been received at the office and we need to go to the office to receive this. No !!!

Scholarship received by the principal means your application has been submitted successfully to the principal office for verification. Once the principal office receives your application, they will review your application according to eligibility criteria. This does not guarantee that your application will be approved. After reviewing it, the application is sent to the relevant district-level authorities for further verification.

Scholarship Pending at Office Level: What Does It Mean?

When your Digital Gujarat Scholarship application status says “Pending at Office Level,” it means that your application has been submitted from School or college to district-level authorities such as the educational department of Gujarat, Scholarship division, and government grant agencies for further verification of your eligibility criteria.

Scholarship Approved by Authorities: What Does It Mean? 

When the Scholarship portal shows Approved by authority it means your application process has been completed by the relevant authorities such as the educational department, scholarship division, and grant agencies and your stipend will be sent soon to your bank account No further verification is required now. You just have to wait.

Query by Authority on Digital Gujarat Scholarship: What Does It Mean? 

Shown below image of the Digital Gujarat Scholarship status shows “Query by Authority,” which means that the relevant government authorities have encountered a question or issue related to your application. This happens due to 

• Missing any document while filling or uploading
• Leaving blank or not selecting any option from a compulsory part.

So, double-check that you have submitted all the required documents and haven’t left any compulsory fields or options blank as it can delay or may reject your application.

Rejection of Scholarship

If the authority finds you not eligible for the scholarship, they may reject your application, and “Rejected” or “Closed by Office” will be written in your status, as shown in the image.

Sometimes, the applicants themselves do not submit the application due to an error, and it is automatically rejected at the end with “Application Rejected” or “Canceled by Citizen” written in the status, as you can see in the image.

The Digital Gujarat Scholarship status typically updates within a few weeks after submission. However, during peak application periods, it might take longer due to the high volume of applications being processed.

Last year, while checking scholarship status, some students faced issues like incorrect application numbers and server errors. If you find that the website is not loading, it means there is a server error, and it’s not your fault. Just try again after some time or later at night, and clear your browser cache.

If you find an incorrect application number it means you are making a mistake while submitting the number.
